Owners of Humpin H Ranch are more than happy to show their East Texas Ranch and their Braunvieh cattle. They have one daughter Rachel Hall Johnson married to Jimmy Johnson. and proud parents Ford James Johnson.
David retired from the Garland Fire Department after twenty years of service to his community. He plans to devote his time to their family and Braunvieh cattle. David is President of the Texas Braunvieh Association. Contact him for membership.
They started as a cow-calf operation with a herd of Black Angus cattle. After introducing a few Braunvieh heifers into their herd they saw a tremendous improvement in the overall condition and most importantly the bottom line profit of their calves. That led to their first Braunvieh bull, which brought them to where they are today, a 100% Braunvieh seed stock producer.
The goal is to continue improving the genetics in the herd for their commercial customers and to stand out in the show ring.

MONTALBA - Retired Garland firefighter David Hall spent the early years of his career listening to elder co-workers discuss taxes, politics and headaches of Texas cattle ranching.
Eventually, tough talk about mud, flies, coyotes and difficult deliveries sparked a buried desire in the young firefighter to someday swap a soot-smelling fire helmet for a sweat-soaked cowboy hat.
"I asked a million questions and listened to the stories," said Hall, who grew up in the city and knew little about ranching. "It was really interesting, and I knew it was something I wanted to do, too."
